Nonno Nanni has built solid relationships with the local farmers, promoting sustainable farming through continuous veterinary supervision and strict compliance with standards and regulations on animal welfare.
Nonno Nanni carefully monitors water and energy consumption to minimise waste, whilst ensuring efficient production within the plants.
In recent years, Nonno Nanni has doubled the amount of waste recycling in its facilities. This commitment to reduce waste continues with the use of special packaging, which includes 100% recyclable inner trays.
Nonno Nanni uses a high energy efficiency system to generate its own electricity. The heat produced by the motor is used to generate steam for the milk pasteurisation process, and hot water for cleaning and sanitisation of production areas and to heat the factory.
Activated sludge biological waste water treatment plant. The activated sludge is then
used as a fertiliser in agriculture (under authorisation from the province).
A 1887 m2 photovoltaic system runs on the roof of the factory where Nonno Nanni potato gnocchi are produced.
