Artichoke hearts stuffed with Fresco Spalmabile
4 medium artichokes
1 package of puff pastry
160 g Fresco Spalmabile Nonno Nanni
1 egg
oil
salt and pepper
Nonno Nanni Fresco Spalmabile is a fresh, soft and spreadable cheese, with a lively but delicate flavour.
Method
Remove the hard leaves from the artichokes until you reach the heart, cut the ends and carve the centre with a corer, creating a cavity. Steam cook the artichokes until they are cooked, cool and fill them with Nonno Nanni. Roll out the puff pastry and, with a 10-cm pastry cutter, make circles to cover the artichoke like a hood. You can also score the puff pastry with a small knife to make petals and make the dish more special. Brush with the egg that you have beaten with a dash of lemon, bake in a convection oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes and serve hot. Crispy with a soft and sweet heart with intense flavour, this is a memorable dish that you can prepare ahead of time, keep in the fridge and cook at the last minute.
