Savoury hazelnut shortbread spoons with Nonno Nanni Fresco Spalmabile and orange compote
One pack Nonno Nanni Fresco Spalmabile
Bitter orange compote
100 g flour
50 g butter
A handful of shelled hazelnuts
1 egg
A pinch of salt
Nonno Nanni Fresco Spalmabile is a fresh, soft and spreadable cheese, with a lively but delicate flavour.
Method
Combine the flour, salt and butter to make a crumbly mixture. Finely chop the hazelnuts in a food processor. Add the hazelnuts to the flour mixture.
Add the egg and continue mixing to make a smooth pastry.
Shape into a ball, wrap in film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 160°C. After leaving the pastry to rest for 30 minutes, roll out not too finely. Cut into teaspoon-shaped biscuits and place on a baking tray lined with oven paper. Bake for about 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
Serve the spoons with the Fresco Spalmabile, a teaspoon of orange compote and a few curls of orange zest.
