Creamy Tuna Pie
1 roll of puff pastry (round or square does not matter)
200 ml double cream
1 pack of Nonno Nanni Stracchino
1 stock cube
Pinch of salt
1 can of tuna (about 150 g)
Curry to taste
Nonno Nanni Stracchino is a fresh, soft cheese with a unique flavour
Peel and cut the onions, place them in a grill pan for a few minutes, then add a glass and a half of water and a stock cube and simmer until the liquid has evaporated completely.
Meanwhile, beat three eggs, mixing them with a pinch of salt (not too much because the stock cube already serves to salt), the double cream, tuna and Nonno Nanni Stracchino.
When the onions are ready, add them to the bowl with the eggs and the rest, add the curry to taste and stir a little more. Then roll out the puff pastry in a baking pan with high sides (about 3 cm) and pour over the contents of the bowl. Place in the oven at 180 co. for 35 minutes or - and this is what is wonderful about this recipe - you can also put it in the microwave for 18 minutes at 750 or 800 watts.
The result is great, not for those on a diet but suitable for a buffet (for example, at a birthday party) or accompanied by a salad for dinner with friends, or even, as I have done, to take to a group dinner to celebrate New Year.
